Q1. Sometimes the app just shows “Disconnected - Please go nearer device” despite being near the device.
A1. This seems to happen occasionally on Android smartphones and is a known Android bluetooth issue. To resolve, turn bluetooth on and off again in your smartphone apps and restart the BatMon app
Q2. After a firmware update a BatMon has gone missing from the UI - what do i do?
A2. Please re - scan for devices after 30 seconds. You will see a device called “STM_OTA”. Please add this as the device type it was and the firmware update will continue. After it is completed, you will need to completely close the app and then restart it. This is caused by an error in the bluetooth during the download most likely due to interference - unfortunately bluetooth is not perfect.
Q3. How many BatMons can I install in one vehicle ?
A3. The Android operating system limits the amount of bluetooth connections to seven. Therefore, we sell in bundles of seven BatMons. iOS devices do not have this limitation. However, performance of the BatMon app and the iOS device do start to get slower if more devices are added.
