Which BatMon do i need ?

Most off-grid systems typically draw 1 to 4 amps during normal use. |

Our 500A external shunt solution is as accurate as, or more accurate than, other available battery monitors. However, Ohm’s law applies: the lower the shunt current rating, the higher the measurement resolution and potential accuracy. Consider the maximum current your off-grid circuits may use, and choose the 30A, 300A, or 500A version accordingly. If ever in doubt, please consult an automotive electrical specialist for advice. |
DC to AC inverters draw high current. If your system uses a DC to AC inverter for mains-powered appliances such as a coffee machine, current draw can quickly rise into the hundreds of amps. For these installations, we recommend the 300A or 500A BatMon. |
