Which BatMon do i need ?

Most off-grid systems typically draw 1 to 4 amps during normal use.

Our 500A external shunt solution is as accurate as, or more accurate than, other available battery monitors.

However, Ohm’s law applies: the lower the shunt current rating, the higher the measurement resolution and potential accuracy.

Consider the maximum current your off-grid circuits may use, and choose the 30A, 300A, or 500A version accordingly.

If ever in doubt, please consult an automotive electrical specialist for advice.

DC to AC inverters draw high current.

If your system uses a DC to AC inverter for mains-powered appliances such as a coffee machine, current draw can quickly rise into the hundreds of amps.

For these installations, we recommend the 300A or 500A BatMon.

If you are in any doubt, we recommend choosing the 500A BatMon.
