What is BatMon ?

BatMon is a 6-42v (0-500A) battery and power monitor designed for use in off-grid habitations like campervans and canal boats.

Not “Just” a Battery Monitor

BatMon monitors in real time and records up to ten years’ worth of data onto its onboard memory the following:

  •        Voltage
  •        Voltage 2
  •        Onboard temperature
  •        Remote temperature
  •        Current
  •        Amp Hours
  •        Watts

In addition, the minimum and maximum values (and time they occurred) of the above are stored to enable quick analysis of the health of your system.

Keep it Simple

The user design ethos here at the Monitor of Things Ltd is “Keep it simple”. We don’t use confusing terms in our apps and aim to enable all people the ability to understand what’s going on with their battery and power usage in their off-grid heavens!

Monitor everything

BatMon is specifically designed to monitor any DC electrical circuit in addition to monitoring your batteries. By installing BatMon in all the places that generate power and consume power you can
get a full understanding of your off-grid solutions power needs, areas for optimisation
and quickly find faults if they occur.

Low Power

Designed by hugely experienced embedded design engineers in the United Kingdom, BatMon is an extremely low power device that will not flatten the batteries that it is monitoring.

Extremely Accurate

BatMon samples four times a second to ensure it is accurate and captures everything. BatMon is designed to be extremely accurate – we challenge you to find a more accurate current shunt!

Every BatMon comes with an external temperature sensor

Want to log temperatures? Want to know how cold your fridge is? Every BatMon has two temperature sensors included.

Every BatMon can control and automate two Relays

Want to remotely control an appliance from the BatMon app – then just open the app and toggle the button.

Want to let BatMon switch on and off relays for you (for example, turn on a relay when the temperature reaches 5°C)? Then use our “Edit Logic Rules” section of the app to automate whatever you want.

Download historical data

BatMon logs to its onboard Flash memory up to ten years of data which is available for you to download and view
